Diversity

My daily life emergence up in expression Huron has created a wealth of
experience with diversity and has prepared me to tag on to the diversity of
a college community. Being an African American growing up in mien Huron
has given me the opportuniy to experience alot of disparate cultures.
First of all, this is a predominantly Caucasian community. My parents
are physicians. In this community there are large contingents of Asian,
Middle Eastern, Indian, as well as Caucasian doctors. Most of their
children go to my school. I stand a wide variety of friends from all
these groups. I yield done numerous community Theatre imparts with my Asian
friends. I have attended parties, weddings and tralatitious dinners with
my Muslim and Hindu friends. I play tennis and party with my caucasian
friends. I have also go through cultural diversity outside of the
United States through my travels in the Carribbian and Latin America. The
privilege of having doctors for parents has made having a diverse group
of friends easier and more than available. It also has had the effect of
passel in town cunning me by name. That automatically creates an
opportunity for diversity because all types of people in town know who I
am and are comradely towards me.



An opposite factor that has contributed to
my diverse experience is my tennis stead in the town. I have played
tennis since I was 6 age old and am currently the #4 manifold Regional
High School Champion. Being one of the few African Americans in town that
plays tennis, gives me another access to the Indian, Muslim, Asian, and
Caucasian communities that other African Americans in town dont have.
Through my parents and my friends, over the years I have gone to many
traditional themed parties. At these parties the hosts and guests wear
traditional clothing and serve native dishes. Another reason wherefore my
diverse experience is unique is because of the school I go to. There are
