Our nation has a lot of debatable debates going on inwardly itself right now. There are decisions organism made by our elected officials that are changing our society drastically, and reshaping the world in which we live in. One of these issues which will remain under follow for possibly the better half of my generation, is gay wedding. This highly controversial topic has been mainstream media since before I was born and has people pickings very passionate stances on either side of the argument. Which is should marriage only be between a man and a woman?
In 1996 Bill Clinton passed a federal law, the demurrer of marriage act (DOMA) stating that marriage is defined as being between a man and a woman. However he also said that it was up to each individual solid ground to decide whether or not they wanted it to be judicial or not. Also if you were married in a stir that legalized it and moved to a state that hasnt, then your marriage would not be recognized in that state. So far vi states have deemed it legal, among them are Connecticut, Massachusetts, Iowa, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Washington D.C.
