My first birdcall was Career Opportunities by The Clash. The mental strain is upbeat is intended for any audience that was flavor for employment. In the song, the band states its dislike and hatred for the Armed serve and how they would non insufficiency to abide by the rules set by the government. They do not want to be fighting in the army in hot tropical heat and they pass on not open up letters containing bombs. They are not willing to put their lives on the line and risk for be hurt or killed for the army.
The Clash also sings about race opportunities never love knocking at your door. They also refer the problems that were offered during the period. A bus driver, ambulance man and ticket inspector were the jobs being offered when this song was being written back in 1977.
The song Career Opportunities states the hiring raft want to introduce conscription and gather in away their prescription. That to me meant to that the government was forcing peck to involuntarily work. Whether or not they wanted that particular occupation. Also with taking away their prescriptions, sight who were deemed incapable of performance were still being forced to muster in in the Armed Services whether they were capable of the desired job performance.
The Clash also sang about jobs that were available were workings on the dock, or making toys, doing hard labor and people not having a choice about the positions that were available. If that were the only jobs they had, people had no choice but to take those jobs to make ends take on!!
By the ending of the song, the band reiterates that jobs dont come knocking and they aint never gonna knock. Sounds much like this twenty-four hours and age because if a person is not skilled and/or qualified for a specific job, they will have to pacify for what is available.
