As Mrs. Smith said in the past and as I saw in this class was that even though kids ability not seem like they are listening, they are sometimes taking it in without even noticing. For example, during the clapping song at the end, one kid was just crawling around plainly not paying attention, yet after the class I saw him singing and clapping to the song that he hadnt even been participating in earlier.
I think thats why the education of children is often put on the back up burner because we think that they dont comprehend anything, but in reality, they are absorbing a lot. The objective of Mrs. Smith seemed solely to engage the kids in activities. She was very confident in her principle methods, therefore making her successful.
