ITS non THE DESTINATION, ITS THE JOURNEY
In Eudora Weltys story A faint-hearted Path most an elderly black woman do a long journey, I realized this journey she is reservation is the biggest and, perhaps most important, journey of her life. In this story phoenix Jackson takes a worn path to the city e real year to fuck off medicine for her sick grandson. Throughout her journey she comes across some obstacles; animals in the wild, a harassing hunter, untied shoelaces, and snippety nurses. In spite of all these obstacles she carries on and trudges with her journey to get to her destination. (Welty, 1941) We would all be wise to take a lesson from genus Phoenix on carrying on through the tough times.
When I was s stock-stillteen, my family toss me over something I had no control over. This was a very trying time for me and it felt like this would be the beat out thing ever and I would never get through it. In the story though, Phoenix said something just close to her hold path that made me re-examine mine and how I feeling about it. She said Walk pretty. This the easy place. This the easy going. (Welty, 1941) I sure hope this isnt true of my own path, merely what if it is?



What if this is the easy part and I am letting myself sputter through it and give up on a passing(a) basis. This makes me think differently about my past. I am instanter twenty-four and it seems like that time in my life haunts me daily, only when Phoenixs statement, Walk pretty. (Welty, 1941), makes me feel better about where I am. It helps me to realize that just because it may seem tough, it could forever be worse. So now when I think about trying times or hard events in my life, I will tell myself walk easy Kim, this the easy going. (Welty, 1941)
in that location are many times throughout reading about Phoenix that I was left wishing I were more than like her on a daily basis.
